Right wing Corey Spring scored the game-winner and had an assist Wednesday to lead the Detroit Vipers to a 4-2 exhibition victory over the Michigan K-Wings at the Troy Sports Center.
Spring, who recently joined the Vipers from the Tampa Bay Lightning's camp, assisted on Detroit's first goal from Jeff Shevalier.
Rob Millar and Oak Hewer also scored for the Vipers, who play their last exhibition Sunday against the Cleveland Lumberjacks in Toledo, Ohio, before opening the season at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 against the Grand Rapids Griffins at the Palace.
