KANSAS CITY, Missouri (Ticker) -- Jason Elliott stopped 44 shots in regulation and three of four shootout attempts as the Manitoba Moose edged the Kansas City Blades, 5-4, despite blowing a four-goal lead and being outshot, 48-12. Elliott recorded 12 saves in the first period, 18 in the second and 14 in the third for his third straight victory and 11th win of the season. After Doug Doull and Corey Spring scored in the first 90 seconds of the game, Manitoba took a 3-0 lead on Spring's second goal 8:20 into the opening period. Justin Kurtz added a power-play goal 50 seconds into the second for the Moose, who have won five straight. David Ling assisted on power-play goals by Michal Pivonka and Nick Naumenko in the first five minutes of the second period for Kansas City. Ling's goal with 40 seconds left in regulation capped the comeback for the Blades, who have won just once in five shootouts.
